This breaks my heart...To think I have to sell these...

'intended to be a Clydesdale'? I guess the dapple says "Percheron" then?

And I love the little critter! I originally intended for the Warpainteds series to be realistically themed, but I have to admit painted horses and castles ledn toward Fantasy very naturally. Just as long as the horse subjects are based on real breeds, then I have now issues with the scenery. I HAVE been saying that is your business all along anyway. I just keep forgetting. But I'm not sorry yet and I doubt I ever will be...

I may be paying you for this, Anna, but it is still yours...I hope you are no less proud of your commissioned works. Don't worry about giving me credit as the commissioned. Why don't you just say I am "funding" your work on the Warpainteds series? It gives you more of the respect and credit you deserve...

I am quite sure I've seen photographs of dappled Clydesdales but I can not say if those were pure breed. Percheron it can not be - the way they are build is totally different and it shows in the drawing. Breeds are not distinguished only by colouring. The proportions and sometimes character plays role. You can give it a different title. I do not care much for the title in this case. Clydesdale is not wrong in my opinion though.

I was wandering what you would say about the animal : ] I can change it in to a rabbit easily but it feels right the way it is.

I do not fully understand what commission art is then. I thought that if someone gives me the subject to make a drawing and pays for it it counts as commission : ] as I have read in dictionary " To place an order for: commissioned a new symphony for the festival."

As long as this definition is close to truth I do not mind calling this drawings commissions. I am and will always stay author of them. That is quite enough for me.

as to the credits that are going to be written down on the back side before posting these works we can define it later.

I know different breeds have their own unique physiologies, I just don't have the knowledge or eye to really pick out the differences. I'll stick with "Clydesdale" because I really don't know any better and your opinion counts for a lot with me. You were going for Clydesdale and I am confident you got near enough so that viewers won't argue the point.

We can call it a "wabbit"! I like the Fantasy feel you are going for. Painted horses and grand vistas just lend a fantastic feel to the series and that makes it more interesting. I don't want to get into High Fantasy, but castles and cute/strange creatures fit the subjects and rich colors very nicely.

Your understanding of what a commission it fits mine. The thing is, I feel I am doing so little that I don't want any more of the credit than I feel I deserve. And while a commissioner technically, I feel more like a sponser. And considering that our relationship concerninga single piece continues past the shipment of it from you to me, seems to me we have more of a partnership. As long as you are content I guess I'll try not to dwell on the matter...

So one more colour pencil work to make five and I am interested in having them shipped. Or do you want to hold onto the sketches and the cps until you produce the aquarelle for each one? And you never did a lead sketch for [link] did you? Is it too late for one to make it a full set?
:iconcommissionart:
I will have to make a sketch for Camargue watercolour drawing anyway so it will be a full set don't worry : ]

I'm afraid I would need those drawing as reference for watercolours. I will change painting on horses and maybe some aspects of surrounding but not much. I'm sorry but to change them more I would have to start the work from new sketches once again and that would take ages.

I'm convinced you will like the small changes - I will try to make them as visible as possible : ]
:iconcommissart:
Then go ahead. I trust your judgement...
